(What follows is the opinion of Michelle Chalfoun–not as a spokesperson of IGC)
May 16th is Glen Cove’s Board of Ed election. It’s really important that we progressives start taking back local politics, and this is our first chance. Please be sure to come out and vote yes on the budget and please be sure to vote for Monica Miller. She’s a local mom who sends her kids to GC public schools, a progressive, and member of Indivisible Glen Cove.
If you aren’t registered to vote, learn more about how to register here. You should do it now, so that you are ready for all upcoming elections.
Please, this week be sure to tell your friends and family to check their voter registration status, to show up on May 16th, and to vote yes for the budget and vote for Monica Miller. Tell them now, and tell them again as the date nears. Getting out the vote for this local election is important.
Thanks,
Michelle Chalfoun
